The first volume covers lectures given by both on a variety of topics including: "Sheriffs and jailors," "Inns and innkeepers," "Contracts," "Of torts and first of slander," "Of alienation by deed," and "Of Injuries to things real and first of trespass." The second volume records a series of lectures given by Gould on "Pleas and pleading."

In Latin., Script: Apparently copied by 8 scribes, each writing one or two quires in small Gothica Textualis or Semitextualis Libraria, having features of the Northern as well as the Southern type., Numerous paragraph-marks; red flourished initials at the head of each lemma. The decorative braces which are consistently used to connect the text written in the open space at the end of paragraphs with its beginning on the line below are of various shapes, apparently proper to each scribe., The inner top and bottom corners of the leaves badly damaged by mice (?)., and Unbound.

Description:
In Danish., Watermarks in gutter similar to Briquet Main 11417 and Lettre P 8636., Script: Written in a running script with some looped ascenders, by one scribe., Crude 2-line initials, in orange. Paragraph marks and slashes between sentences, also in orange., and Binding: 16th-17th centuries. Rebinding? Sewn on three vegetable fiber, double cords, the previous sewing caught up. No endbands. The cords are laced and pegged into oak boards. Between the cords the spine is lined with vellum strips which extend into the inside of the boards. Covered in reddish-brown calf, blind-tooled with a vine scroll St. Andrew's cross set in a panel border of the same on the lower board, concentric panels, two with vine scrolls on the upper. There is a brass catch on the upper board, the stub of a vellum strap attached to the lower one. The leather is wanting in the spine area.
