Above the text is a decorative floral square, which also contains blessings for the bride and groom. This ketubah has horizontal creases, which indicates that it was stored folded over many times. The text is difficult to read by non-specialists in Sephardic cursive.

The text is surrounded by an illuminated border in gold and multicolored inks. At the top are traditional verses, a six pointed star, and an emblem of a handshake of the bride and groom. On the sides and bottom are decorative columns with detailed botanical illustrations.
