- In Latin., Script: Written in batarde, with scholia in a smaller version of the same hand., One miniature, 12-line, f. 74v, a T-O mappa mundi, in a red and gold frame, slightly waterstained at the edges. One 4-line initial, f. 3r (pink), and one 3-line initial, f. 57r (blue), both with white highlights, filled with red and blue ivy on gold against a gold ground. Twenty 2-line initials, gold, filled with pink and blue against pink and/or blue grounds, square or irregular, with white filigree. Capitals stroked in yellow, red or blue between ff. 1r and 26v; in yellow for the remainder of the text. Borders were perhaps added later (between 1425 and 1450) on folios with initials only; between ff. 1r and 57r, flowering vines, gold, green and blue with gold dots in lines above, below or in written space; blue and gold acanthus mixed with flowering vines, red, pink, blue, and green with gold ivy in line above written space and in inner margin within rulings for scholia; on a few folios, outer vertical bounding line reinforced in red with small acanthus terminals. Floral outer margin borders normally on the pages with 2-line initials. Four-margins borders and miniatures above 3 lines of text opening with a 3-line foliate initial, on ff. 13r (Annuntiation), 25r (Visitation), 38r (Crucifixion), 39v (Pentecost), 41r (Nativity), 46r (Annuntiation to the Shepherds), 50r (Adoration of the Magi), 58v (Flight into Egypt), 65r (Coronation of the Virgin), 76r (Saint John on Patmos), 99r (Funeral mass). The miniatures are rounded at the top. The borders contain acanths and a multitude of gold vine and other leaves, flowers, animals, hybrids and monsters. The artist is said to be Péronet Lamy, an illuminator in the service of the Dukes of Savoy in the second quarter of the fifteenth century., and Binding: contemporary binding: brown calf over rounded wooden boards. Both covers entirely blind-tooled with rows of juxtaposed stamps: monkeys and fleurs-de-lys in the central panel; rosettes and phoenix(?) in the frame. Clasps missing.

Hand A, the main scribe, using almost only double-bow a, copied ff. 1r-21v11; 33r-108v11; 125r-144v. Hand B, who normally writes box-a, copied ff. 21v12-32v; 108v12-124v., Illuminated leaves have been excised after ff. 14, 58, 86, 94, 137., Headings in blue or red ink. The majuscules are heightened in yellow. The decoration consists of line-fillers in gold and blue and red paint and the following initial types: (1) dentelle initials, 1 line; (2) foliate initials, 2 lines; (3) foliate initials, 4 lines, always accompanied by full acanthus borders and, except on f. 142r, by a picture in an arched compartment above 5 lines of text. Seven of these miniatures remain. The borders are framed in gold ink. All ordinary text pages, including the Calendar, have unframed outer margin borders the height of the text area, with patterns traced from rectos to versos., and Binding: Nineteenth century (?). Red velvet over cardboard boards, on which the original decorated gilt brass bosses (4 corner pieces and a central piece) and one decorated clasp in the same material, fixed to the rear cover, have been mounted. - In Latin., Script: Written in gothic script of two sizes, verging on batarde, by one person., Two miniatures (ff. 84r and 131r) of poor quality remain. The location of the other miniatures can no longer be determined due to rebinding. On f. 84r Pentecost, in an arched frame; miniature and text in a 3/4 bar border, gold with flowers, attached to an historiated initial (Dove) and a full acanthus border (blue and beige acanthus, flowers, birds, and gold dots) with four scenes inserted in corners, clockwise from lower right: Christ on the road to Emmaus, Christ appearing to Mary Magdelen, Noli me tangere, and the Ascension; the entirety within a blue bounding line. On f. 131r the Virgin and Child enthroned, with two angels in a thick brown arched frame; miniatures and text in a 3/4 border, a twig with branches lopped off, in blue with white highlights, attached to an historiated initial (Joseph) and a full acanthus border, as above, with a green bounding line. 6-line historiated initial in the same style on f. 139v, with St. Dionysius and his companions, Rusticus and Eleutherius. On all other pages, outer margin, traced border as above, with green bounding line, except ff. 23-29 (quire III), in red. 2-line initials, blue or pink with white highlights on gold ground, filled with flowers, fruit, or ivy. 1-line initials and line-endings, gold on pink and blue grounds, with white highlights.
