- The clover symbol of the "Trinitarians." The "F" refers to John F. Fulton. The "C" refers to Harvey Cushing. The "K" refers to Arnold C. Klebs. The symbol of the founding fathers of the Yale Historical Library. Three leaves on a stem. Originally designed by Arnold Klebs, who wrote: "...we ought to call it our trefoil solidarity and use as emblem the clover leaf ... and the inversely heart-shaped leaves ... are quite appropriate and nicely stamped on some of our beloved volumes..."
