Fildes, S[amuel] Luke. "The Empty Chair, Gad's Hill--Ninth of June 1870." This large wood-engraving, which is printed on a sheet of plate paper 44 cm. x 62 cm., depicts Dickens's study at Gad's Hill on the day of his death. It is hand colored.
