Abstract:
Seven illuminated borders with strewn flowers, leaves, fruits, birds, insects, and hybrids and nineteen miniatures of saints and other figures, on parchment, cut out from a book of hours and pasted onto folded paper sheets in the mid-nineteenth century, creating a scrapbook in the English Gothic Revival tradition.
Description:
One leaf with upper corner cut away. and Scrapbook has been attributed to Albert Henry Warren (1830-1911), painter and illustrator.
