A youthful picture of Dr. Francis Lister Hawks Pott who was president of St. John's University in Shanghai (1896-1947). Dr. Pott was an educator and Protestant Episcopal Church missionary in China. He was born in New York City and educated at Columbia University and General Theological Seminary. He was ordained in 1888. He married Susan N.
