Arago, Paris." The Société des Missions Evangéliques was a Protestant organization known in English as the Paris Evangelical Missionary Society.

A handwritten note on the postcard begins "This is the gate of the mint that was. It was closed this summer and I expect the buildings will go rack and ruin. It is the best built place in T.K.P..." [Tsingkiang Pu now Qingjiang]
