The maps show varying degrees of colouring., An atlas produced by the Genoese cartographer Battista Agnese (1514-1564) in Venice. Includes 23 maps in various colors, with many representations of people, ships, and landmarks., and Binding: de luxe binding, 19th or 20th century, by Rivière & Son: gold-tooled red morocco over pasteboard; gold-tooled title on spine:"PORTOLANO / DA / BATTISTA / AGNESE", and at the bottom: "1559".

In Latin, with Italian glosses., Script: Copied by one hand writing an uneven Southern Semitextualis Libraria with some two-compartment a's. The scribe Ciutus is not recorded., Red stroking of the majuscules. 2-line red plain initials. Larger and more elaborate initial in red and black at the opening of the text. Numerous pointing hands., and Binding: Nineteenth century. Yellow parchment over pasteboard, both covers framed with a gilt running scroll. On the spine gold-tooled inscription "PRUDENTII PSYCHOMACHIA . COD. SEC. XV (?)".

Part II: Uninspired and badly rubbed historiated initial (Christ [?] displaying stigmata) on gold background with three gold dots, f. 19r; small decorative initials in red with black penwork designs, or blue with red. Paragraph marks in red or blue., The manuscript has been damaged and repaired extensively. Parts I and III: Waterstained and mended throughout. Part II: Folios have been trimmed with some loss of marginalia., and Binding: 18th-19th centuries. Vellum and paste paper case.
