- James Booth, Jr., while a student at the Litchfield Law School from 1810-1811, recorded lectures given by James Gould and Tapping Reeve. The first volume covers lectures given by both on a variety of topics including: "Sheriffs and jailors," "Inns and innkeepers," "Contracts," "Of torts and first of slander," "Of alienation by deed," and "Of Injuries to things real and first of trespass." The second volume records a series of lectures given by Gould on "Pleas and pleading."
