U.'s first construction man (early 20's) on new campus near Heu-ghe" Mills stands in a torn-up area of ground using a telescope to survey the land for new campus of Fukien Christian University. A broken basket is at his feet; a few other people are partially visible at left.

[now Fuzhou] A bedroom decorated in white Western style furniture. There is a bed with a canopy, a screen, dresser, vanity, desk, and table with a baby basket on it.
