In Latin., Watermark: var. Briquet 6654 (?)., Script: Copied by one hand in Humanistica Cursiva Libraria under some Gothic influence (occasionally uncial d)., Pale red headings and explicit formulas. The scribe wrote guide-letters but the initials (height: 2 lines) are wanting., and Binding: Fifteenth century. Italian brown morocco over wooden boards bevelled at the inside, blind-tooled with rope interlace and other tools, with some gold. Remnants of two brass clasps attached to the rear cover. Rebacked. On the spine a paper label with the handwritten title "Historia di Publio [sic] Candido". Parchment pastedowns. On the yellow-coloured fore-edge the title "P. Candid*" is inscribed.

In Latin with some Czech (?), German, and Hebrew., Watermarks: crown (var. Briquet 4616?), circles (var. Briquet 3194?), bull's head (?)., Script: Copied by various scribes, writing Gothica Cursiva Libraria or Currens in various sizes, often very small; ff. 127r-143r, 7 are in a markedly different, larger form of Gothica Cursiva Libraria., The decoration is unevenly spread: heightening of majuscules and plain initials in red. On ff. 162-170 alternance of red and green initials, on f. 162r flourished initial in the same colours. Artt. 21 and 22 are not illustrated, although the text mentions figurae., At many places the paper is deteriorated by the acidity of the ink., and Binding: Original limp parchment. A bifolium from a German manuscript in Gothica Cursiva, worn and stained, lined with a German document on parchment in Gothica Cursiva Antiquior/Recentior. Leather spine stiffener with ornamental stitching.

In Latin and Middle High German., Script: written in late Caroline minuscule., and Decoration: at the beginning of the text is a cross with ornamentation in brown penwork; 2-line initial "A" in brown ink with the left shaft and crossbar hollow and the right shaft solid; 1-line initials are in brown rustic capitals; punctuated with the punctus and punctus versus; the charm is written in a thirteenth-century gothic hand (littera textualis), evidently in German.

Approximately 404 marginal drawings in pen and ink, many with yellow wash: mostly portrait roundels, but also including two diagrams of Noah's Ark; views of London, Canterbury, Rome and other places; an image of the Annunciation; and a small T-map. Margins ruled to accomodate the roundels. One illuminated initial and others covered in matte gold., Binding: contemporary calf over wooden boards, rebacked. Upper cover plain; lower cover contains central panel with the letters POLICRONICON created by stamping background with seven-pointed star stamp. Background pattern of diagonal fillets with five-petalled flower in circle stamped at each intersection. Remains of leather clasps and one brass catch. Sewn on six raised bands., and Byname: Takamiya Polychronicon.

In Italian (Venetian dialect)., Script: Written by one scribe in black ink except for five lines in red; of these lines 145 and 171 are no entries, but rubrics introducing the sections dealing with the Sea of Azov and the islands of the Aegean Sea respectively. The handwriting is a small Southern Gothica Textualis Libraria under Cancelleresca influence; the latter is most apparent in the shape of the letter g and in the horizontal approach strokes at the top of the ascenders., The majuscules are heightened in red., and Damp stains have damaged and even obliterated some parts of the text, especially in its first section.
