The ketubah is divided into two sections that are separated by green and gilt borders, enclosed by a floral border with a yellow background. One section of the document is the ketubah or the marriage contract, and the other section consists of the betrothal conditions (tena'im). The same witnesses signed both parts of the document. The groom also signed both the contract as well as the betrothal agreement. The calligraphy is in cursive. Above the text, in large block letters, are blessings for the bride and groom.

The middle section contains the text of the ketubah, while the top and sides are filled with elaborate arch and floral patterns in blue, gold, and silver paint. Above the text are good wishes and the verse, ""I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God. For he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels"" (Isaiah 61:10). Strips of red paper pasted on all four sides frame the ketubah. There is some damage to the text containing the Isaiah quote, as well as some damage to the borders.
