Inscribed on front fly-leaf: "S[ylvia] Ll[ewelyn] D[avies] and A[rthur] Ll[ewelyn] D[avies] from J.M.B." and in a later handwriting of the author "There was one other copy of this book only and it was lost in a railway train in 1901. J.M.B. 1933."
