In Latin and Italian., Script: copied by one hand in Southern Gothica Textualis Formata (Rotunda)., Headings in red. 1-line versals alternately in red and blue; 2-line flourished initials with marginal extensions alternately in red and blue, the penwork in the contrasting colour (the normal type of initials throughout the manuscript); 3-line flourished KL ligatures in art. 1; 5-line litterae duplices or initials in the style of litterae duplices with developed penwork at the opening of the various Hours in art. 2; 6-line ditto in art. 3; a 4-line flourished initial at the opening of the Mass of the Virgin in art. 5. All initials are half inset., and Binding: original Italian brown cloth over wooden boards, sewn onto three double leather thongs; the cloth is embroidered with silver thread to a design of stars, squares and maltese crosses. Gilt and gauffered edges.
Manuscript on of a large personal collection of stray notes and excerpts, mostly in Latin under strong influence of Italian dialect, rarely in Italian, dealing especially and in great detail with confession and penance, interrogations by the confessor, the sacraments, sins and vices, the duties of the priest, etc. Quotations from Ambrose, Augustine, Bernard of Clairvaux, the Bible, Cicero, Gregory the Great, Isidore of Seville, Jerome, John Chrysostom, Thomas Aquinas, and others. Script: copied in Humanistica or Gothico-Humanistica Cursiva, probably by a single hand, at various moments and in various degrees of rapidity. The display script is large Humanistica Textualis or large Southern Gothica Texualis. and In Latin.

Manuscript fragment on parchment leaf (cut in halves in the middle of the height) of Passion of St. Terentianus, bishop of Todi (1 Sept.).
Description:
In Latin., Script: Written in Beneventan script., Red headings. Heightening of the majuscules in red and yellow. 5-line initials in same colours., Stained with paste. The outer edge is heavily trimmed and 8 rectangular cuttings have caused important text losses in the outer column., and Used in a binding. On the top of the verso, in the middle and at the bottom of the leaf the offset of texts written on a flyleaf (?) of the binding from which the fragments were taken [to be read with a mirror]. In the inner margin of the same verso is an undeciphered 19th-century inscription.
