10 manuscript documents and 11 newspaper clippings related to the Order of the Bath, bound with John Pine, Procession and ceremonies...(London, 1730). Documents include "Forme of makeing Kts of the Bath," a 17th century description of the investiture ceremonies performed at Durham House; a list of Knights of the Bath created during the reign of James I; documents concerning the role of the Order of the Bath at the coronation of Charles II, including a list of members present on that occasion and draft form letters summoning candidates; and a copy of the 1725 proposal for reviving the order. The newspaper clippings date from 1912-1913 and all concern the history of the order and the revival of its installation ceremony by George V in 1913.
