Manuscript on parchment of a Book of Hours. With prayers in Italian. Probably made for a female member of the Augustinian order.

Binding: Original Italian brown cloth over wooden boards, sewn onto three double leather thongs; the cloth is embroidered with silver thread to a design of stars, squares and maltese crosses. Gilt and gauffered edges., Headings in red. 1-line versals alternately in red and blue; 2-line flourished initials with marginal extensions alternately in red and blue, the penwork in the contrasting colour (the normal type of initials throughout the manuscript); 3-line flourished KL ligatures in art. 1; 5-line litterae duplices or initials in the style of litterae duplices with developed penwork at the opening of the various Hours in art. 2; 6-line ditto in art. 3; a 4-line flourished initial at the opening of the Mass of the Virgin in art. 5. All initials are half inset., and Script: Copied by one hand in Southern Gothica Textualis Formata (Rotunda).

Alternately red and blue paragraph marks. Alternately red and blue 2- or 3-line (sometimes 4- or 5-line) flourished initials, half inset, with penwork in the opposite colours extending in the left margin or in the intercolumnar space. On f. 1r at the beginning of the text a 9-line littera duplex with penwork, badly rubbed. Guide letters., Binding: Undecorated cardboard cover, sewn on three leather thongs., Collection of Bernard M. Binding: Twentieth century. Wooden boards and brown calf spine. Endleaves are fragments of a Missal (Italy, 15th century)., Part I: Red (?) chapter headings in larger script written at the right of the text. Red paragraph marks. Red heightening of majuscules on ff. 1r and 10 v only. 2-line (exceptionally 1- or 3-line) early flourished initials in red with red flourishing (red filling on f. 10r). 5-line red, blue and white initial with strapwork decoration on f. 1r. Part II: Chapter headings in red, centered. Red 2-line plain initials (Capitalis)., Part II adapted to the size of part I by pasting strips of parchment to the bottom of the bifolios. The five outer bifolios (ff. 11-15 and 18-22) are palimpsest: leaves from a manuscript in two columns, the text transversal to the textus rescriptus; the inner bifolium (ff. 16-17) is of bad quality; the upper corners of ff. 11 and 22 are missing with loss of text and have been repaired with blank parchment., and Script: Part I (ff. 1-10): Copied by one hand writing Praegothica with wide distance between the lines. On the opening page white vinestem left margin border with incorporated 7-line initial, and white vinestem lower border with wreath in which a coat of arms is missing (a later hand, who made also a few notes elsewhere in the manuscript, has written in the blank space "Ipsa est antiquitas")., and Script: Copied by one hand in Humanistica Textualis.
