Contains letter of Gen. H. Dearborn, in reply, dated "War Department Jan. 14, 1807," transmitting to the Committee a copy of Captain Lewis' muster roll of his party, together with a copy of his letter to the Secretary of War relative to the same. The folded leaf which forms part of this tract is Capt. Lewis' muster roll, printed very closely after the autograph manuscript. and The bill which these documents accompanied passed, and became an act of Congress. cf. E. A narrative of the life and work of Eliza Spalding Warren, the second white child born in Oregon Territory, with other facts relating to the coming of the early missionaries from 1834-38, the first printing press, the Indian tribes, the Whitman Massacre, the conspiracy to kill Gov. I. I. Stevens, and other events connected with the pioneer history of the Northwest.

Autograph manuscript transcribed by William Partridge. Pages 67-137 contain "A compendium of logick, according to the modern philosophy, extracted from Le-grand & others their systems." This is followed by shorthand notes. Given by Partridge to Timothy Edwards, and later owned by Jonathan Edwards when a student at Yale in 1718. A note in F. B. Dexter’s hand says the book was also used by Warham Mather. On the verso of the first leaf: "Jonathan Edward’s Book 1751."
