- Binding: the two covers and the spine are covered with a fragment from a large Italian choirbook in Southern Gothica Textualis Formata; parts of two 4-line red staves with notation in Nota Quadrata and two lines of text are preserved., Red headings and paragraph marks. 2-line red and blue plain initials, with guide letters., Script: Copied by two similar hands: A, writing a rapid Southern Gothica Textualis Libraria, copied ff. 2r-56v and 69r-104v; B, writing a more formal version of the same script, under slight Humanistic influence, copied ff. 57r-68v. - Manuscript on parchment (thick), composed of two distinct parts, of 1) Calendar-obituary giving the names of nuns, lay sisters, and benefactors of the Benedictine abbey of Notre-Dame de Saintes in Charente Inferieure in Southwestern France. The main body of this section dates from the fourteenth century, but was still being supplemented in the sixteenth century. 2) A version of the Usuard Martyrology; the body of the text written in the 12th century. 3) Rule of St. Benedict, feminine version.

- Binding: Fifteenth century (?), France. An early resewing on three double, twisted, tawed skin supports laced into wide grooves in oak boards and pegged with rectangular or square pegs. Covered in brown sheepskin with corner tongues, blind-tooled with diagonals in an outer frame. Spine leather wanting. Leather on boards much worn., ff. 3, 46 excised., First part of the manuscript has been extensively patched and repaired., Part I: Initials, dates and headings in red. Part II: Two decorated initials, ff. 47r and 129r, 6-line, in red, green and blue. Decorative headings in brown ink touched with red and green, or red touched with blue. Small initials, 4- to 1-line in red, some with foliage scrolls in red or contrasting color. Headings in red., and Script: Part I (ff. 1-46): Written in a variety of scripts ranging from gothic bookhand to batarde. Part II (ff. 47-168): Written in elegant late caroline/early gothic bookhand.

- Binding: no covers., Copy of the charter of Lothaire, King of the Franks (954-986), for the abbey of Sant Cugat, dated Compiègne, 986 January-February. The copy was made by Bernard of Caderita, notary at Barcelona, 1044 January 17. The manuscript contains confirmations of this charter by James I, King of Aragon (1213-1276), dated 1233 January 23, and Pedro IV, King of Aragon (1336-1387), dated 1338 April 20. The manuscript also contains documents about a lawsuit before the court of the bishop of Barcelona between the monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallés and the town of Sant Cugat at the occasion of a fight between two inhabitants of the town and the wounds they received, 1273-1380. The Latin language of these documents is very ungrammatical., Script: probably copied by a single hand writing Gothica Cursiva Libraria/Currens with Spanish features. - Binding: Blind-tooled white parchment over wooden boards, decorated with fillets in a frame and lozenges pattern. Spine with two raised bands., Foliation s. XVII in ink 2-109, but ff. 37-39 are missing., Script: The original text (artt. 2-5, 8, 9) is probably copied by a single hand (A) writing a small Gothica Textualis/Semitextualis Libraria. The additional texts are copied in 16th century hands: artt. 1 and 6 in Gothica Hybrida Libraria by hand B, who wrote also the majority of the marginal notes and additions; art. 7 by hand C, who used a bold Humanistica Cursiva., and The additional texts are not decorated. The original parts have red headings, red paragraph marks, and red 2- or 3-line plain initials. Art. 2 opens f. 2r with a 7-line littera duplex with extensive penwork and extension in the inner margin in red and blue; art. 8 opens f. 42v with a 3-line flourished initial (Prologue) and a 4-line littera duplex with penwork, as in art. 2 (text). All initials are half inset and have guide letters in the margin.

- Manuscript on paper of Boccaccio, De mulieribus claris, with dedication to Andrea Acciaiuoli.
- Description:
- Binding: Fifteenth century, Italy. Parchment stays from contemporary document adhered to inner and outer conjugate leaves of quires. Original wound sewing on three tawed skin, slit straps fastened in channels in flush wooden boards. A primary endband, caught up on the spine, is sewn on tawed skin cores. Remains of red secondary embroidery. The spine is square and lined with tawed skin between central supports. Covered in kermes pink, tawed skin with corner tongues, the sides divided into triangles with right angled and diagonal fillets. Three fastenings, the catches on the lower board and stubs of green fabric straps on the upper board which is cut in to accomodate them. Eight star-shaped bosses on the upper board (one wanting) and five on the lower, each board with four bosses on their spine edges. Inscription on upper cover: "de mulieribus claris". Written in ink on fore edge: "LXXXVIII" with a helmet on each side. Label on lower board wanting., Folio 3r, partial border, of poor quality: in lower margin, a patch of green grass with two women seated, one dressed in red, the other in green and white, supporting a shield with unidentified arms (gules, 3 helmets sable [in outline only]), a later addition. From the patch of grass oak branches with leaves and acorns extend into inner and upper margins. In inner margin, a fox chasing a hare. Folio 80r, a medallion framed in red and pink and four small gold flowers, with an unidentified monogram in gold against blue ground. One pen-and-ink initial, 8-line, blue with pale red penwork. Plain initials alternate in red and blue. Headings in red (ff. 1r-7r only). Many initials touched with red. Guide letters for decorator throughout., Purchased in 1954 from C. A. Stonehill by Thomas E. Marston., Script: Text written in a well spaced gothic bookhand with humanistic features by a single scribe, below top line. Art. 1 and rubrics added in similar script by another hand., Unidentified arms, with "Cretulia" and "Thurj" added on either side, and inscription in the lower margin of f. 2v: "Quid spectas Thurum [with 3 helmets] sunt hec insignia. Thuris/ Donarunt Sacre Iuno Minerua Venus/ Cretulia., and Watermarks: Briquet Tete de boeuf 14717 and similar to Piccard Ochsenkopf XII.123.
