Abstract:
"In a room filled with bales, chests, and plunder the Conyngham family prepare to depart. Lord Conyngham (left), in shirt-sleeves but elegant, tugs at the cord of an enormous bundle. Lady Conyngham struggles with the lock of a treasure-chest, saying, 'There is no such thing as getting those Devilish Locks of Bramahs open'. Her daughter carries on her shoulder the skeleton of the giraffe (see British Museum Satires No. 16108). A cupboard topped with the Royal Arms displays bare shelves; plate is heaped on the floor."--British Museum online catalogue

Abstract:
"Rectangular bundles of documents, supported on human legs, march towards a writing-table (left) where two men await them eagerly, one being evidently Lord Stewart. These bundles recede in perspective from right to left. The two largest are inscribed: 'From Switzerland Via Colombier the Capital of Europe' and 'From Milan by the Brown road'. The others are: 'From Trieste'; 'From Carlsruhe'; 'Como'; 'Italy'; 'Devil'; 'Moloch'; 'Lucifer'. A bird flies towards the table with a paper inscribed 'Private'. Forked lightning darts towards the table, beside which trunks, boxes, and papers are piled, with a paper headed '... [Maj]ochys deposition'. Towards the table from the left advances (from an ornate Gothic building) a procession of lawyers, carrying books. "Three sailors sitting on trunks on board a ship, grimacing as they read papers. At centre one points to his paper, saying, 'Did you ever hear such palaver Jack - Just before an Action'; his paper is inscribed, 'nothing opposes the individual esteem entertaind for your excellency by your faithfull servant / J Moore / Cadiz'. At left, a sailor reads a paper inscribed, 'I am your Excellrncys most Humble Servant / Rossily'; his trunk is lettered 'Will bo[...]'. At right the third says, 'Be quiet you lubbers, you dont know how to be polite - one of the Mounseers has ax'd me a little time, before I blow him up, and see what a civil letter I have sent him.'; his trunk is lettered 'Junk' and his paper, 'Mounseer / I had the honor of your this morning, and if you don't surrender by six in the evening, I'll be d-d if I dont blow you up / yours / to command / Jack Junk'. On the floor in the foreground, a tankard of 'Grog', a pipe and broadsides, one of which is headed 'True courage'; a cannon behind at left. Reissue by Fores of a print originally published c. Abstract:
A coach filled with passengers is driven by a coachman (smoking a pipe) and pulled by two teams of horses. The roof of the carriage is loaded with bags and a cage filled with poultry; the one bag is labeled 'Brussels'. Another cage of birds swings off the bottom of the carriage in the back, the top of which is covered in a tarp. The driver whips the lead team. A coat of arms decorates the door to the carriage
