- In Latin., Script: Written by one hand in Humanistica Semitextualis Libraria., No decoration; the space provided for the initials is not used., Each page consists of two leaves of extremely thin paper pasted together. The paper is now dark brown and brittle (causing loss of text in the lower margins of pp. 1-6). For reasons of conservation the bifolios have now been cut into singletons and these have been encapsulated in transparent Mylar sleeves united in an album., and Binding: Eighteenth century. Kept separately. Marbled brown leather over pasteboard, each cover decorated with a gold-tooled floral border and gold-tooled doublure margin; gold-tooled spine with paper label containing the hand-written number "24068". Marbled paste-downs.

The Latin, especially of the third prognostication, is quite poor

- In Latin., Script: Apparently written by a single hand in Gothica Cursiva Libraria (Secretary), retaining many Anglicana features. Two-compartment a is rarely used; note the thorn-shape of y (except on line 1, where the letter has the normal shape), and the semicircular abbreviation stroke with a dot in its centre., No decoration., The lower section of the roll now covers one line of text of the upper section, but originally the two sections were attached to each other the other way and no text was covered., and The top end of the roll is cut in the form of a pointed arch and a cord is inserted for tying up the roll.

- In Latin., Script: Apparently 8 scribes, all writing Southern Gothica., Decoration: The decoration of artt. 1-4 consists of heightening of the majuscules in yellow; blue or red paragraph marks. In art. 3 the chapters normally open with a 2-line (rarely 3-line) flourished initial with penwork extensions in the left margin or in the intercolumnar space, alternately red with purple or blue penwork and blue with red penwork; the first lemma of each letter opens with a 3- or 4-line flourished initial filled with foliage and with more developed marginal extensions. The text opens on f. 5v with a 5-line dentelle initial with green and blue background heightened with gold and white, followed by 5 lines of text mostly in majuscules. The decoration of art. 7 is similar to that of art. 3 but less carefully executed., and Binding: Eighteenth century (?). White parchment over pasteboard, with two modern brass clasps fixed to the front cover. On the spine green leather label with gold-tooled title "SUMA MAGISTRA". On the bottom edge the title "Summa Pisa****" is written.

- In Latin., Script: Written in a small round gothic bookhand by two scribes. Scribe 1) ff. 1r-37v, 67v-75v; Scribe 2) ff. 39r-67r., One 6-line initial, red and blue, filled with red and blue penwork in a floral pattern. 4-, 2-, and 1-line pen initials, red, with long trailing serifs and blue calligraphic flourishes. 2- and 1-line initials outside text column. On f. 1r, arms of the duchy of Austria (crudely executed; later addition?):, or, two eagles palewise displayed and crowned sable (Hungary): impaled with barry of 6 gules and argent; supported by griffins passant gules; the whole set between thick pink bands. - Manuscript on paper. The compiler of this unidentified world chronicle cites as sources Sallust, Suetonius, Josephus, Orosius, Macrobius, Eusebius, Origen, Eutropius, Sigebertus, Hugh of Fleury, and many others. The chronicle concludes at the end of the twelfth century; the date of composition is given in the final section as 1183 in the reign of Frederick Barbarossa (1155-90). The text of the manuscript is continuous, with no book and few chapter notations

- Written in the middle of the 15th century, perhaps ca. 1456 when the codex was given to John Capgrave by Jacobus de Oppenheim. Capgrave was elected in August of 1455 to another 2-year term as head of the English Augustinian Province. In 1457 he resumed his literary interests, including work on a universal chronicle from the beginning of the world until the year 1417; this endeavor resulted in the Chronicle of England produced ca. 1462., In Latin., Script: Written by three scribes. Scribe 1) ff. 1r-105v, 60 lines of text written in a small and even, slightly rounded gothic bookhand. Scribe 2) ff. 105v-110v (end of quire XI), 112r-114r, 40 lines of text in a small notarial hand with some shading of descenders. Scribe 3) ff. 111r-v, 114r-405r, 55-58 lines of text in a dark gothic script characterized by fine hair-lines and curved flourishes over the letter i., Decoration changes according to scribe. Scribe 1: Guide-letters for initials never supplied. Rubrics (in upright gothic), paragraph marks and initial strokes in red. Covered in brown goatskin, blind-tooled with concentric frames of alternating fillets and rope interlace, the central panel filled with interlace. Four fastenings, the catches on the lower board, the straps, now wanting, attached with seven star-headed nails. Parchment strips from unidentified manuscripts reinforce center of each gathering. Remains of a paper or vellum label with lettering in ink near head of lower board and trace of a chain base at the tail. Heavily restored.
