Abstract:
"Fox, as Belial, seated in a depression in the centre of a large mass resembling a balloon in process of deflation, which is inscribed Publica Fides. Four vertical posts marked with figures seem intended to measure the (rapidly decreasing) degree of Publica Fides on which Fox can still count.... Fox is a fat, almost-naked creature, with horns and talons.... An attack on the Coalition ... Abstract:
"Fox, wearing a military cocked hat, with civilian dress, threatens Prussia (or Frederick William III) with his sabre, while he puts a foot on the sword that Prussia has dropped. The latter, a grotesque figure with a long pigtail and moustaches, kneels terrified at his feet, clasping his hands in supplication. His Death's Head Hussar cap falls from his thrown-back head; he wears a fur-trimmed cloak and tunic, with a badge of the Prussian Eagle on his sleeve, with half-boots and extravagant spurs. Fox says, with an expression of sour and calculating contempt, " - O you Prussian Marauder, you! - what I've caught you at last? - what, You took me for a double-faced-Talleyrand! did you? - did you think I was like yourself, to Look One way & Row another? - what you thought because I make Loyal Speeches now, that I must be a Turncoat? - O you Frenchified Villain! - I'll teach you to humbug & insult my poor, dear, dear Master? - & to join with such Rascals as Boney, & O'Conner!" Prussia exclaims, terrified, "indeed! indeed! indeed! I could not help it. - " Meanwhile, Napoleon, holding his sabre, and wearing feathered bicorne, with spurred jack-boots, furtively hastens up to Fox from behind, to read the open book which the latter displays to him behind his back: 'State of the Nation'.

"The Prince and Mrs. Fitzherbert in the bedroom of a French inn ; a maidservant enters (left) with a tea-tray. The Prince, yawning and stretching with a dissipated air, is seated on the edge of a table; the revelry of the past night is indicated by an overturned decanter, broken wineglass, and a broken candle. Another candlestick and broken wine-glass lie on the ground, together with the Prince's top-boots. He wears slippers and his stockings are ungartered, the 'honi soit qui mal y' [pense] ribbon hanging round his leg. Mrs. Fitzherbert, seated on the bed, draws on a stocking; her garter inscribed 'Fox' lies on the ground (cf. British Museum satire 7306). The bed is heavily draped with fringed curtains. "A fox, wearing a coat, hangs in profile to the right from a very high gibbet. His large brush is inscribed 'Hereditary Right' (cf. British Museum Satires 7381); he is excreting, the ordure being inscribed 'Run my Mead'. Above the gibbet is a scroll: 'The Man of the People High in Office'. Three women caper delightedly round the foot of the gallows: Justice (with the head of Thurlow) (left), with her scales evenly balanced, but with her bandage pushed up so that she can see, and holding her sword against her shoulder, its blade inscribed 'Household' continued; she sings, "Let's joyful Dance and merry Sing". Britannia (right) sings "for Ch--l--y [Fox] is quite the thing"; her shield is inscribed 'No Peers No Pensions', an allusion to the Regency Restrictions. Her profile appears to be intended for that of Pitt. Liberty, with the head of Wilkes, squinting violently, who is between the other two, cries "Huzza". The cap of Liberty (on its staff) is inscribed with the City arms and the motto 'Address', in reference to the City address of thanks to Pitt and the Ministry for maintaining the right of Parliament in the establishment of a regency."--British Museum online catalogue

Abstract:
A vertically divided male figure comprised of Lord North on the left and Charles Fox on the right is shown dressed only in breeches and with the upper body organs exposed to the viewer. Across the forehead is pasted a ribbon, "pro privato lucro." The organs they share include a tongue signed "Truth" (in reverse), "oratorial lungs," stomach labeled "Great Britain" ('Great' written in reverse), and the "Self-interest" artery splitting into two "P- of W-'s [i.e., Prince of Wales's] establishment" veins, each emptying into a full pocket signed, "pickings." North's foot, labeled "affection," presses down on an excreting fox. Fox's leg is signed, "religion." For his ribs he sports "13 stripes" while North's ribs are labeled "place," "pension," "sinecure," "contract," "loan," "title," "&.&."

"The Duchess of Devonshire (left) carries a fat butcher (right), both her arms round his waist, his right arm is round her waist, their faces are in profile looking at each other. She says, "I'll try all measures to bring the matter to a proper Issue"; he says, "Oh! - who can withstand such charms". She wears a large hat trimmed with a 'Fox' favour, laurel branch, and four fox's brushes inscribed respectively, 'Love and \ Liberty \ Delicacy and \ Decorum'. Abstract:
Charles Fox hangs by the neck from a large balloon with the image of the East India House on it. He has a fox's tail inscribed, "The man of the people." Below on the left stands a female figure of Justice with the face of George III. Under his feet are sheets of paper inscribed, "Coalition" and "East India Bill." In the right hand he holds a scale with half royal crown on one side and "America' on the other. Lifting the cloth that covered his eyes, the King blows the balloon away. Opposite the King, Lord North kneels on the ground, a "Letter of dismission" next to him. He begs George to keep him in office

William Pitt, dressed in a tunic tied with "Cestus of virtue" and a helmet inscribed, "Wisdom," and decorated with feathers and laurel wreath, stands between two lion-like beasts with the faces of Lord North and Charles Fox. North rears up as Pitt pulls on his tongue with forceps. On the opposite side, Fox lies on the ground bleeding from his mouth while Pitt holds a heart inscribed, "Indostan," above his body. A crown labeled, "Asia," fallen from Fox's head, lies at Pitt's feet. The title refers to freedom of the City given Pitt by the Grocers' Guild
