General Hospital April 2nd 1865, with gunshot flesh wound of chest received at Fort Fisher Va., March 25th 1865, the ball entered about two inches from right nipple passing transversely through integuments, coming out one and one half inches from left nipple., R. B. BONTECOU,, Surgeon U.S. Vols., In Charge., and Transferred to Vermont April 20th, 1865.

- Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital,, Hospital Number, 20,224., R. B. BONTECOU,, Richard Ives, Private, Co. B, 189th N.Y. Vols., aged 33, was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, April 2nd, 1865, suffering from gun shot wound, the ball entering over middle of superior edge of scapula; extracted near the middle of left scapula; left scapula fractured and right injured. Wounded, March 29th, 1865, at the battle of Hatcher's Run, Va. On admission, the condition of injured parts and constitutional state of patient were tolerably good, did tolerably well up to April 20th, 1865, from that date the parts became gangrenous, gangrene extending the whole length of wound. The patient steadily sank, and died, May 16th, 1865, from exhaustion., Richard Ives., and Surgeon U.S. Vols., In Charge.

Gen'l Hospital, April 12th, 1865, suffering from gunshot wound of left leg, lower third, the ball injuring soft parts. Wounded, March 31st, 1865 at the battle of Petersburgh, Va. On admission, the condition of injured parts and constitutional state of patient were good. Patient did tolerably well up to May 10th, 1865, when parts became gangrenous. Result favorable. - Fritz Siebe, private, Co. D, 139th N.Y. Vols., aged 23, admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, June 18, 1864, suffering from gunshot wound of abdomen, ball entering right anterior side, below the 10th rib, emerging behind, and about 1 1/2 inches from spine. Wounded June 3, 1864, at the battle of Cold Harbor, Va. On admission, the patient was in a very feeble condition; the discharge from the wound consisted of feces, mixed with greenish streaks from the ascending colon and liver; complained of pain in abdomen, increased by pressure; discharge per rectum, scanty. Treatment, cold water dressing over the abdomen, opium internally, and light, nourishing diet. July 1—pain in abdomen diminished, but discharge the same; July 15—patient complains of occasional colic pain; August 1—patient improving; discharge the same up to August 15, but from that date the patient began to improve. September 1—the wound of exit healed; discharge consisting of a thin yellowish serum. September 14—wound entirely healed; colic pain, now and then recurring, but able to be about. Gen'l Hospital, April 5th, 1865, suffering from gun shot wound of back, the ball entering at medial line passing out near acromion process, injuring soft parts. Wounded, April 1st, 1865, at the battle of Dinwiddie Court House, Va. On admission to this hospital, the condition of injured parts and constitutional state of patient were good. The patient improved rapidly and was doing well when transferred to U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital at Philadelphia, Pa., May 29th, 1865., Conrad Kruger., Harewood U.S.A.
