Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital, Hospital Number, 18,450., John Miller, Private, Co. K, 118th Pa. Vols., aged 32, was admitted to Harewood Gen. Hospital Oct. 7th, 1864, with amputated left thigh, lower third. The wound was received Sept. 3Oth, 1864, near Petersburg, Va.; nature of missile not positively known, but supposed to have been the conoidal ball. The patient states that the ball passed through the knee-joint. On the 29th of March, 1865, a sequestrum measuring about six inches, was drawn from the end of the stump. Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital., Hospital Number 15,877., John Harvey, Private, Co. F, 29th Mass. Vols., aged 19, was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, June 21st, 1864, suffering from gun shot wound of left forearm, the ball entering at upper third and passing upwards, grooving the head of humerus and fracturing left cavicle. Wounded, June 17th, 1864, at the battle of Petersburgh, Va. Resection of head of humerus, and of about three inches of left clavicle which was fractured, denuded and protruding. The ball was extracted from under fractured cavicle on the 28th of June. Operation performed by Surg. R. B. Bontecou, U.S. Vols., July 17th, 1864. The condition of parts at time of operation was tolerably good, but patient was weak from excessive suppuration. The wound had healed and patient was doing well when discharged from the hospital, Feb. 18th, 1865., John Harvey., R. B. BONTECOU,, and Surgeon U.S. Vols., In Charge.

Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital, Hospital Number, 20,788., John D. Parmenter, Private, Co. G, 67th Pa. Vols., aged 16, was admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, April 16th, 1865, suffering from a gangrenous ulcer on the external side of left foot over malleolus, the result of a gun shot wound received at the battle of Amelia Springs, Va., April 6th, 1865. Amputation of left leg, lower third, by a circular incision, June 21st, 1865, by Surg. R. B. Bontecou, U.S.V. The condition of injured parts at the time of operation was gangrenous and sloughing, the bones being necrosed, and the patient considerably emaciated. Patient improving., John D. Parmenter., R. B. Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital,, Hospital Number 20,277., John Crawford Co., B. 198, Pa. Age 29, admitted to Harewood U.S.A. General Hospital from City Point, April 2nd 1865, with gunshot fracture of the upper third of the right humerus, received at Hatcher's Run, March 29th, 1865. Splints were applied to the limb, and simple dressings to the wound, and the system supported by stimulants and nourishing diet. He was transferred to Chestnut Hill Hospital, Philadelphia, Pa., May 13th 1865, and was then doing well., John Crawford., R. B. BONTECOU,, and Surgeon U.S. Vols., In charge.
