- "Napoleon, on a galloping horse, is confronted by Blücher (right) who fires a blunderbuss at close range. He is pursued by Wellington (left) who gallops towards him, sabre in hand. Napoleon has lost his stirrups; he faces Blücher with arms thrown wide in a gesture of despair. His crown flies from his head, and six eagles (or geese) fly off to the left, above Wellington.
