The large white house can be seen in the middle distance, a blue turret roof capped with a weather vane rising above the crenellated walls. A brick wall, the top of which is covered with ivy, separates the house from the road in the foreground. A man walks on the road toward the house; the back wheels of a carriage can be seen further down the road, the front end having disappeared around a corner to the right.
