- Abstract:
- Watercolor drawing of the front of Horace Walpole's Strawberry Hill villa in Twickenham, as viewed from the north. The large white house can be seen in the middle distance, a blue turret roof capped with a weather vane rising above the crenellated walls. A brick wall, the top of which is covered with ivy, separates the house from the road in the foreground. A man walks on the road toward the house; the back wheels of a carriage can be seen further down the road, the front end having disappeared around a corner to the right. Tall trees with green foliage frame the right and left sides of the image; a blue sky is seen above
