The shield is surrounded by a garland of leaves and flowers, which in turn is partially veiled by a large drapery. Above this is a dove atop a wreath and palms. To the left of the crest is a caduceus; to the right is a greyhound-like dog. Below the crest can be seen a snake, a rooster, and an owl.
