- Description:
- A set of seven photographs documenting the residence of Miranda Wilmarth Sheldon Lux (1825-1894), a maternal great-aunt of Wilmarth Lewis. The mammoth plate albumen prints are by Runnels & Stateler, and include one exterior view, five interiors (entrance hall, dining room, parlor, music room, and library), and a view taken from the house’s tower looking north up Gough Street to San Francisco Bay. The parlor photograph features on an easel a portrait of Charles Lux (1828-1887), the second husband of Miranda Lux.
