On the shore at right, 'Dido' (the figure of Britannia), points and smiles, above the inscription, "She, while [the] outragious winds [the] deep deform, Smiles on [the] tumult, & enjoys [the] storm". In the sea Neptune near the shore looks at the ship in displeasure.
