James Capoccio in the Church of Sta. Maria Maggiore of Rome; but being removed in 1767, the upper part, of beautifull mosaic, was purchased by Sr. W. Hamilton, younger son of Lord Archibald Hamilton, & then British Minister at Naples; and being sent by him to Mr. H. Walpole, the latter erected a chapel for it in his garden at Strawberry Hill near Twickenham in Middlesex, 1771.
