- "A young man leaning against a bank under a tree holds out in his right hand a square frame in which are displayed dead butterflies and moths. In his left hand is a butterfly net. His hat is a large butterfly; writhing caterpillars represent his curled hair. A butterfly rests on his left coat cuff.
