With a collection of poems in Horatian meters on early Jesuits, e. g., St. Francis Xavier (1506-52), Brother Rudolph Acquaviva (1550-83), St. Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556), St. Aloysius Gonzaga (1568-91), and Edmund Campion (d. 1581). A collection of notes by Horace Walpole over the course of three years -- 1759, 1771, 1786 -- on a very wide range of topics. The volumes for 1759 and 1771 include: notes on books he is reading; observations about historical events and historical figures are interspersed with observations about current political topics and prominent social figures.
