The back of the door is decorated with Gothic tracery; the corners of the doorway, as well as the ceiling above, have quatrefoils in their ornamentation. Two armchairs upholstered in floral fabric sit on either side of the door. The chair on the left sits next to Japan cabinet with two branched candlesticks and the basalt head of Jupiter Serapis (?) on top of it; a vase decorated with arms and the ring device of the Medici rests beneath it. The chair on the right sits next to a Japan coffer on a gilt frame, a vase of Florentine fayence beneath it. On the wall above the door hangs the portrait of Margaret Lemon.
