- Manuscript on paper (sturdy but of uneven weight; no watermarks, wavering chain-lines ca. 53 mm. apart) of a collection of excerpts from Biblical commentaries and sermons by patristic writers. Mainly drawn from Remigius of Auxerre, Expositio super Matthaeum; and Bede, Expositio super Lucam. Also includes texts by Leo, Gregory, Gualterus Anglicus, Augustine, Anselm, Ambrose, and Boethius. Sermons written for feast days and about the Passion of Christ.

- Binding: Date? Square, flush boards. Trimmed out turn-ins suggest a late date. Covered in vellum with contents and a compass-drawn circle on lower cover., Initials (3-line), paragraph marks, underlining and strokes on 1-line capitals in red., and Script: Written mostly by one scribe, perhaps over a period of time, in a small gothic book hand with many abbreviations. Additions by slightly later hands in more or less formal script, e.g. ff. 1v, 3r-5v, 87v-105v.

- Binding: Twelfth century, Italy. Original sewing on two tawed pigskin slit straps. The sewing supports and endband cores are laced through a tawed skin spine lining (from a palimpsest?) which extends about 50 mm. on either side and is turned in at head and tail. There is a fragment of finely woven cloth caught up by the lower sewing support and kettle stitch. Chevron endbands on tawed skin straps, one of which extends across the lower side under the lower turn-in. The lower side is reinforced with two irregular pieces of vellum. A flush, tawed skin cover with overlapping corners and irregular turn- ins, wide at the fore edge. Stubs of fastenings which are extensions of the supports. Contemporary title in ink on upper cover: "liber intitulatur de habitu monachorum". Decorative panel containing a drawing of an unidentified animal smeared blue and/or green within a border of brown circles, on lower side., One decorated 5-line initial (rubbed) on f. 1r, constructed of interlacing bands in parchment, outlined in brown ink against an irregular red ground. Plain red initials, some of which are drawn vertically rather than upright, and often with small red pearl designs, appear to be executed by many different hands. Instructions to rubricator in upper margin of f. 1r. Guide letters for decorator., and Script: Written by multiple scribes of varying degrees of accomplishment in late caroline minuscule and early gothic bookhand.

- Binding: 16th century light brown leather over wooden boards, both covers blind-tooled with a double frame of multiple fillets, the inner frame divided by two diagonals. Small engraved bronze bosses at the four corners of the inner frames. Remnants of two clasps attached to the front board, with decorated brass catches on the rear board. Rebacked., On folio 1recto there is a 17-line historiated initial, showing the author presenting his work to Emperor Frederick II on horseback. The initial has been erased and the scene is hardly recognizable., and Script: copied by one hand in Southern Gothica Textualis Libraria/Formata (Rotunda).

On the front board the large 18th century (?) pressmark written in black ink "25.", In art. 2 red headings, heightening of majuscules and 2- or 3-line plain initials in the same colour, with guide letters; some initials have a slight penwork decoration. The additional texts are not decorated., Original foliation in Arabic numerals. Quires strengthened at inner and outer sides by means of parchments stays, cut from an erased manuscript., and Script: Art. 2 is copied by one hand in Gothica Cursiva Libraria/Formata (Cancelleresca). The scribe Agniolo Donati is unrecorded. A slightly later hand copied the additional art. 1 in Gothica Cursiva Libraria. Art. 3 was added by a hand writing a rapid Gothica Cursiva Libraria/Currens difficult to decipher.
