- "Portrait of a man whole length, facing three-quarter to left. Under his left arm is a large book, in his left hand a drawing instrument. His right hand is thrust under his waistcoat and under his right arm is a macaroni cane. He wears a low three-cornered hat, frilled shirt and cravat, striped breeches and a sword.
