- On the left stands a vertically divided figure of Lord Hood on its right and Sir Cecil Wray on its left, the ministerial candidates in the Westminster election. Lord Hood holds an ensign's flag with an incomplete St. Andrew's cross and a broken scepter on it. Sir Cecil holds a spear with a magpie sitting on its top. From the right of the image, the King, with the scepter in his hand and the crown suspended above his head, drives two reluctant electors toward the figure of the candidates, vowing that the election results will be as he commanded

- Two separate images illustrate Charles Fox's contrasting political pronouncements. On the left, "in private," Fox, with fox's head, is sitting in front of a fireplace in which "An Essay on Politic Sperit [sic]" is being consumed by flames while Fox points to a large document, his political creed, spread on the table to his right. From his coat's pocket sticks out "A Panegyric on Lord North." In the foreground, a monkey plays with a pamphlet "The tru[e] principle of the Constitut[ion]," next to a bundle of books comprising MacCauley's, Locke's and Sydney's works, marked "To Be Sold." On the right, "in publick," Fox, standing on a platform and cheered by a large crowd, including 'Sir' Jeffrey Dunstan, advocates views opposed to those in his creed on the left

Rigby's, proposition to exempt him from this new regulation was opposed in Parliament by Fox. The contenders'seconds are Rigby for Thurlow and Sheridan for Fox

- On the top of a hill, Lord Shelburne (William Petty) stands leaning against a gallows, his hands crossed at the wrists and eyes downcast. In front of him are Charles Fox and Lord North, their left hands joined. North's right hand reposes reassuringly on Fox's left shoulder. Fox points to Shelburne behind him with his right thumb. All three have beards characterizing them as Jews. The text below the design reads, "And Herod and Pilate were made Friends together that same Day; for before they were Enemies one to another. Luke. Cap 23, Ver 12."

- George III, seated on a low square stool placed atop a building inscribed "St Stephens Chapel. 1783," is holding in his left hand an empty scale and pointing to its perfect balance with his right one. Below the design is the text, "I'm above all! I yet Rule the Roast [sic]! As I please the Balance shall preponderate!" It appears to refer to the King's attempts to break the North-Fox coalition after Shelburne's resignation in February 1783
