Harding at The Lewis Walpole Library., Note in pencil beneath lower border: From the miniature at Strawberry Hill., Drawn after the miniature owned by Horace Walpole and kept in his Cabinet of Miniatures and Enamels at Strawberry Hill. Walpole believed the miniature to have been painted by Samuel Cooper, but it has since been reattributed to Nicholas Dixon; see Christie's sale catalogue "Fine miniatures, enamels and object of art and vertu", 6 July 1965, lot 36., and A print entitled "Lucy Barlow alias Waters", published by Harding's father Sylvester in 1802 for The biographical mirrour, was probably engraved from this drawing; see Lewis Walpole Library call no.: SH Contents H263 no. 16.

Title and statement of responsibility from note in ink on a one of diamonds playing card (84 x 57 mm) mounted below drawing; alternative statement of responsibility "by Miss Conway" written in pencil at top of image., Date inferred from the use of artist Anne Seymour Damer's maiden name Conway; she was married to John Damer in 1767., and Mounted on page 189 in a volume containing Horace Walpole's extra-illustrated copy of his Description of the villa of Horace Walpole (Hazen 2523) and his Catalogue of pictures and drawings in the Holbein Chamber at Strawberry-Hill (Hazen 2619.4). Part of the collection: Portfolio containing 50 drawings by Lady Diana Beauclerk and her daughter Mary, Miss Sebright, Miss Knight, Mrs. Damer, John Gooch, Samuel Lysons, Sir Edward Walpole, and Thomas Walpole (Hazen 3641).
One of a collection of four similar images; the other three images are titled: Mr. Kean as Othello; Miss Hargraves as Amy; Miss Bartolozzi as the page in The marriage of Figaro. Formerly part of an album (now lost), each on the same size sheet but different colors and attributed to different artists. Annotations in red ink are by the same hand. Presumably these collages, made using the same farbics, were made by friends and exchanged as gifts. In this collage a full-length image of a woman, identified as Miss Vestris: her head and neck, arms, and boots have been cut from an unidentifed print or prints while her costume and hat and their trimming are cut from satin cloth with additional decorated paper trimming. On the verso written in red ink, two poems: "The Snow Drop by Henry Neele" and "I Saw Thee Weep, Byron" transcribed in two columns
