"Catéchistes Missionnaires de Marie Immaculée. - Kumbakonam (Hindoustan [Hindustan]) - Préparation du repas à l'Horphelinat Ste-Thérèse." Girls and women prepare a meal on the ground outside a brick buidling. A missionary stands with an umbrella next to them. The postcard also notes the publisher as, "Regnault, Photo - Orléans."

A number of women and several children are shown at a local water well. A cement platform is seen around the shaft and a well pole or sweep is employed to lower and raise the buckets.
