Inscribed on reverse: "VENI VIDE VIVE 1588" (Come, see, live); "TV DEVS MAGNVS ET MAGNA FACIS TV SOLVS DEVS" (Thou, God, art great and doest wondrous things; thou art God alone--Psalms. lxxxvi. 10).
