In Latin., Script: gothica textualis., Decoration: rubricated. Paraphs and initials in red and blue ink., and Grid ruling very visible in margins and even within text.
Manuscript in unidentified hand, on parchment, containing an incomplete copy of Constantine the African's De Remine Sanitatis, or Liber Pantegni (Practica). The text is a Latin translation from Arabic of ʻAlī ibn al-ʻAbbās Majūsī's Kāmil al-ṣināʻah al-ṭibbīyah. Contains 16 leaves: incipit: Quia in p[rima] p[ar]te n[ost]ri lib[ri] panteg[ni]; excipit: melestia[m]. Bound together with parchment leaf (l. 17) with miscellaneous medical notes, in several hands different from the hand of the other 16 leaves

In Latin., Script: Written by a single scribe in beautiful batarde script characterized by calligraphic flourishes (some stroked with yellow) in upper and lower margins., 4-line initial on f. 1r, blue with white highlights, on a gold ground, with a coat of arms (effaced) against burgundy ground with gold floral sprays; short floral border, pink and blue flowers on green stem, infilled with gold dots with black hair-spray. 6-line initials on ff. 84r and 87r green with yellow highlights, on gold ground, with a love-knot connecting E (brown with gold highlights) and N (blue) against silver ground, borders as above. 2-line initials at beginning of chapters, gold with black penwork and flourishes; 1-line initials (R for Racio, and G, S, D, M, for the other interlocutors) blue or gold, with red or black penwork., On ff. 1r and 8r three quarters of the page was ruled, but left blank, presumably for miniatures., and Binding: Nineteenth century. Red velvet case, much worn.

In Latin and French., Script: Written in batarde by several persons., Forty-six miniatures of very poor quality, the majority 10- to 8-lines, rectangular and full width of folio, framed in brown ink; four others (ff. 42v, 53r, 73v, and 104v) 5- to 4-lines, square, in gold frames edged in blue. 4- to 3-lines initials, ff. 1r-7v only, silver or gold on magenta or blue irregular grounds, with gold or silver filigree. 2- and 1-lines initials in red. Line-fillers in red and brown floral patterns. Rubrics throughout., and Binding: 16th-17th centuries. Resewn on four very small vegetable fiber cords. The spine of the cover shows that the earlier supports were nearly flat and double and that there were two half-bands near head and tail. Red edges. Covered in yellow/brown calf, blind-tooled with a central panel filled with strap work inside floral borders. A rectangle of leather near the center is painted red and "Margveritte de Savoye" is tooled near the head of the lower board. The cover has been made into a case or hollow-backed binding.

In Latin., Script: Written in imitation of Roman font, upper and lower case, with cursive for headings and rubrics, by N. Jarry in Paris, 1649., Title page (p. 1), p. 31 (Gratiarum actio) and p. 40 (orationes) with finely executed headpieces and 3- or 2-line initials, gold edged in red, with flowers. 2-line initials gold edged in red or blue; 1-line initials in red. Running titles and headings in red. On p. 73 a monogram that incorporates the alphabet inside a wreath tied with a pink ribbon., and Binding: 17th-18th centuries. Red goatskin, gold-tooled, with two gold-plated clasps which may be later additions. Gilt edges.

Art. 3 has a title in mixed Capitalis/Uncialis. The part of art. 4 copied by hand B has some highlighting in yellow, red or green and plain initials; the part copied by hand C has a few plain initials; the 12th-century part copied by hand D has red headings with instructions in small script written in the outer margins, plain or flourished Romanesque initials and an explicit in decorated mixed Capitalis/Uncialis. Art. 5 is undecorated apart from its title and the opening initial. There are effaced drawings in the lower margins of some leaves in art. 1., and Binding: Twentieth century. Reddish brown morocco over cardboard, by Riviere and Son. Spine with five raised bands and gold-tooled inscription "S. GREGORII DIALOGI. SAEC. X".

Above the line a twelfth-century hand has repeatedly identified the saint with St. Aderaldus archdeacon of Troyes (d. beginning of the 11th cent.). 4) Gregory the Great (Gregorius Magnus), Dialogi, Book IV. 5) Vita S. Symeonis Stylitae. There are more than five scribes: A (Carolingian script with very imperfect word separation, s. X2); B (large and bold Carolingian script, s. X2); C (smaller Carolingian script, very close to B, or same hand); D (Praegothica, s. XII); E (various hands writing Praegothica and succeeding each other at irregular intervals)., and T. E.
