His right hand holds a cane, his left is on the hilt of a short curved sword or sabre with an ornamental hilt affected by macaronis."--British Museum online catalogue and "Perhaps a caricature of Jeremiah Dyson, always called Mungo after the name had been given him in a debate by Col. Barré, 29 Jan. 1769.
