He looks slightly to the right., not directly at Fox who stands in profile, regarding him with an interested smile, and holding his hat behind his back. He stands in front of a small upright chair, placed for a visitor. Fox's head and features are larger than those of Lambert, his girth less, but his paunch at least equally projecting.
