The characters for the gate posts - gold on a black background - were written by our dermatologist, one of our Cheeloo graduates and classicists, whose calligraphy is much admired. To the left of the picture one can see parts of the new OPD. To the right is an over-the-street bridge, which connects the second floors of the old and new hospitals. The wing which we see protruding houses out-patient services on the first floor; nursery administration on the second and private patients on the third floor.
