A drawing of the Roman sepulchral altar that was kept by Horace Walpole in the Gallery at Strawberry Hill. The side of the altar bears an image in bas-relief of a man sacrificing; below the image is the inscription "TI. CLAVDIVS AVG. L. DOCILIS AEDITVS AEDIS FORTVNAE TVLLIANAE." An area at the top of the drawing is labeled "To be restored," and on the left and bottom edges are written the altar's height and width in feet.
