"George IV, as Falstaff, sits in a high-backed chair with a grotesquely fat Doll Tearsheet (Lady Conyngham) on his knee. He holds a large glass of wine and looks at her with appraising melancholy. She pouts her lips to kiss. Their words are engraved below: Falstaff--hou dost give me flattering busses. Doll Nay, truly; I kiss thee with a constant heart. Fal-I am old, I am old. Doll-I love thee better than I love e'er a scurvy young boy of them all. --vide Shakspeare ['II Henry IV, II. iv.] Behind (right) stands Bardolph, with the head and nose of Curtis, talking to a lean Mrs. Quickly, who has the unmistakable profile of Lord Conyngham, behind whom a huge antlered stag's head looks down from the wall. Both women wear steeple-crowned hats, but the dress of one is flamboyant and ornate, of the other demure. A man looks in cautiously from the doorway. A thin cat with the head of Charles Grey walks on top of a wall. In his mourn is a fish labeled "First Lord of the Treasury 6000". His long tail, curving around the design and ending at the bottom right, is covered in white patches that are labeled with the names of his relations, their positions, and the amount of their pay. A stick figure of Wellington, with sword raised, appears in the right corner above the end of the tail. Posted on the wall are two signs: "Commit no nuisance" and "Reform in Parliament meeting will be [illegible scrawl]."

"Officers promenade, swaggering selfconsciously; three couples are arm-in-arm. One pair, one of whom is a lancer with a moustache, arrogantly stare at a taller and more dignified Life Guards officer wearing a huge curling plume on the crest of his helmet. All have small high waists with belts or sashes, bulging breasts, high collars, and stocks, narrow and sometimes tiny coat-tails, tight sleeves, high padded shoulders; usually a bush of hair projects from a fantastic shako or helmet. The two Life Guards officers have boots, wide at the top, reaching to the thigh. Two officers wear fantastically large plumed shakos. "Burdett, wearing armour, attacks a seven-headed monster, which guards the gate of the Treasury, a heavy door in a stone arch (left). On his shield is a St. George's Cross inscribed 'Bill of Rights' and 'Magna Charta'; at his feet is the word 'Independance' [cf. British Museum Satires No. 10732]. He says: "I will Stand up for the Rights of the People Or Perish in the Attempt". The monster has a scaly body, webbed and barbed wings, a barbed tail, and fierce talons; its seven serpent-like necks, terminating in human heads, are encircled by a collar inscribed 'Coruption' [in reversed characters). All spit at Burdett, three emit words: Perceval says: "I Perceive what hes Doing"; Croker says: "I begin to Croke"; a third, Lethbridge (identified by his words), says: "Bless me He makes my Hair stand on End like the Quills upon the fretfull Porcupine". His hair is standing up, and is flanked by two locks which suggest ass's ears. A profile resembles Windham; one head may be presumed to represent Yorke. "The Duke of York rides a velocipede (see British Museum Satires No. 13399), taking long strides, on a country road from London, indicated by St. Paul's, the Monument, &c. in the background, towards Windsor Castle on a hill (left). He wears a mitre and surplice with regimentals and jackboots. He turns his head to address John Bull (right), a paunchy 'cit' who stands stolidly, his hands resting on a stout stick: "You see Johnny I dont like to Squander away your money I won't have any more Clarks I wont go to Valencienes any more Ill run nothing but real Dandies there's a Saveing for you Johnny only £10000 a year for hearing the Doctors Reports & pay all my Traveling Expences I gave Mr Johnston £8 for this Charger the Cheapest I could get theres Economy for you you'l live in Clover now." "Two designs, side by side, each with a second title in the upper border: [1] 'Scene, in the Island of Jersey.' Wellington, in uniform, sits on a sofa beside Lady Jersey, addressing her, hand on heart: 'And will your Ladyship ever remain cruel, & insensible to emotions which You alone can excite?' She holds a cross attached to a rosary, and looks at him over her shoulder, aloof, but coyly persuasive: 'Oh you flatterer! Every body knows your devotion to Woods & Forests: therefor don't talk to me of Love, false man! my heart bleeds only for my persecuted friends of the true Church in Ireland. You are the only man in Christendom who is able to emancipate them. Grant me this favor, dearest! most illustrious hero and then perhaps--I could - - - -'. She wears a large hat of puffed-out silk over short ringlets; her dress has huge gigot sleeves. [2] 'Scene in the Duchy of Lancaster.' Mrs. Arbuthnot, pretty, décolletée, and jewelled, sits on a sofa with her back to the door, her right hand on her heart. Wellington, cloaked, booted, and spurred, stands in the doorway. She: 'Was that his knock? or is the false man a Jesuit in Love too?--Oh no although he spends his mornings in her boudoir--he loves her not--she cannot touch his cold heart--she too cares not for him but to serve her politics--& for that she assails his vanit--his weak side, on which I first attacked him--yes! his vanity! his passions!--these are the points for me to work at!--heart he has none.'
