"A tall, thin, elderly military officer, ugly but elegant, stoops to embrace a fat woman, short and hideous. She wears a countrified straw bonnet, apron, and high pattens, but is very decolletee. There is a rustic background with a cottage (right). He says, the words etched across the upper part of the design: My Friends all declare that my time is mispent [sic] While in rural Contentment I rove, I ask no more Wealth than Dame Fortune has sent And the sweet little Girl that I love.
