Caption title., Handbill with ornamental border, printed in gold., Possibly issued by the Protestant Union as they had a copy printed in gold on vellum for presentation to the Duke., The Duke of York declared his opposition to any Catholic concession with a speech in the House of Lords was greeted by anti-Emancipationists as the charter of their cause. Following the Duke’s intervention, emancipation for Catholics had to wait for the Catholic Relief Act passed in 1829., and For further information, consult library staff.

Hudibras and Ralpho riding on tired, emaciated horses travel on a country road. In the foreground to the left, a dog snarls at their approach while to the right, a man, holding a rake in one hand and his hat in his other hand, laughs at the sight of the rotund rider as he backs into and knocks over a table laden with baskets of produce and a tankard as he bends toward the riders. Behind him on the right, his wife grabs for the falling baskets and reaches for him to prevent further damage, a look of alarm on her face. In this end state a house has been added behind the wife

A man smoking a pipe is seated below the window in which sit two other men, one with a pipe. Another man is vomiting out the second window
