Formerly attributed to George Vertue., From a group of images thought to have been originally drawn by John Rous and traced by an unidentified artist for Horace Walpole; later engraved for his Historic doubts on the life and reign of Richard III. See London edition, 1768 and Strawberry Hill edition 1770., and Manuscript Catalogue of 1763, but recorded in the Description of Strawberry Hill, 1774, among the rare books of prints and drawings in the library.
