"A halt for refreshment in the Egyptian desert. The Princess sits on Bergami's knee, her arm round his shoulder, while he caresses her lasciviously. They sit with their back to an ass which brays: "Oh Tempora!!" She is very décolletée and wears trousers, and a feathered cap. A large miniature of Bergami, see British Museum Satires No. 13858, dangles from her neck. Beside them on the ground is a basket of bottles, and overturned spirit-bottle and glass. A small boy, Willy Austin, stands staring at the pair, and blowing soap-bubbles. On the left, but disregarded, is Mahomet (see British Museum Satires No. 14119) performing a dance with flexed knees; he holds up a crescent and a piece of drapery, looking towards the pair to say: "in his signis Vincetes!!," parodying the words of Constantine's vision of the Cross. A print showing the front elevation of a brothel, with a sign over the door "Young Ladies Educated & Board." At the threshold of the establishment, the brothel keeper (possibly Charlotte Hayes) stands at the front door talking with a young man who holds a riding crop (possibly her common-law husband, Dennis O’Kelly.) The two windows on the ground floor show, on the left, a woman entertaining a portly gentleman, and, on the right, two pretty, young woman, one leaning out the window to view the scene at the door. In the two windows on the upper, left and center, two other women are already entertaining men (one of whom is a clergyman) while on the right, two pretty women look down at the scene on the brothel threshold. On the left, a man reads handbills in a covered alley identified as "Kings Place." On the sidewalk (left) a pedestrian holds a monocle to his eye to better see the women; in his pocket is a paper with a title "Economical Lowe[r?]. On the sidewalk to the right, a flower girl in ragged clothes holds out a bunch of flowers to the young man addressing the madam. A woman (dwarf) crier holds a sheet titled "The Harlot's Progress."

"A monk walks through a ford leading a dog with a crown on its head: 'Father Peters' leading George III to Rome. The monk says "He cocks his Tail yet". He is going towards a wayside cross (right), above which are rocks, on which is seated the Pope, holding out a cross towards the travellers and saying "Hold out my Sons to the End & I'll give you a Crown of Glory". Behind him is a dome surmounted by a cross indicating St. Peter's. On the other side of the pool (left) there are also rocks, on them stands a sheep (?) and in the distance, by the sea-shore, are two small churches of rural appearance; off the shore are three dismantled ships with brooms at their mast-heads to show that they are for sale, the scene being inscribed "Little Britain."--British Museum online catalogue
