The Count sits in a large chair, a basket of frogs on the floor between his wide-spread legs; he wears a powdered wig under his hat, his uniform, a gold cross on a black ribbon around his neck, high black boots with spurs, and sword at his waist. He is wide-eyed and stiff -- marionette-like -- as he eats a frog. A man servant with a worried expression on his face and wearing a red liberty cap approaches him from the left, holding a tray labeled "Fricasee of Frogs". From the right, a woman, her face mostly obscured by her large head scarf, carries a bowl labeled “Soup meager”.

Abstract:
"A fat doctor is trundled down a hill in a wheelbarrow by a lean and amused countryman. His fat wife walks beside the barrow, holding his wig, hat, and stick, and angrily threatens him with her fist, while a dog runs in front. They have just left a thatched and gabled inn (left), with a sign, 'The Horns', and a placard over the door: 'Real Yorkshire Stingo Wines Cordials'. Jovial village notables sit outside the door, drinking and smoking; two, much amused, stand to watch the departure. A cock (left) with three hens squawks at the barrow."--British Museum online catalogue, description of an earlier state

Abstract:
"A standing man in profile with wig and hands folded under his cloak."--British Museum online catalogue, description of an earlier state and "Identified in an old hand as Lord L------n. [Lansdowne?]. On another impression he has been identified as Sir Nash Grose. He strongly resembles British Museum Satires No. 4917. He appears to be wearing a legal wig and gown which would make the identification with Sir Nash Grose more probable. The wig resembles that worn by Serjeants at law, see British Museum Satires No. 5900; (Grose (1740-1814) did not become a serjeant till 1774.
